Description Of Program/ Project
- Alital Rural Municipality ward no. 7 The work of collecting the data of possible risk families due to landslides in the Balucha Owa area was done in collaboration with the local government.
- In coordination with the local government, a Geological survey and data collection of 76 families was done with the technical support of Cordaid.
- After the geological survey, a warning was issued in the landslide risky areas.
- Out of the 76 families from which the data was collected, 40 families were affected by the landslide as part of the cash-based work, and 40 families immediately built shelters themselves.
- After that, essential materials such as food item, toilet, drinking water, first aid box and health hygiene materials were supported in the shelters.
- Provided Nutritional food basket as per WFP/NTAG guideline to pregnant woman.
- Necessary counseling, awareness programs and advocacy programs were being held continuously in the landslide affected areas, while coordination and monitoring activities with the local government were also being carried out continuously.
- All the works mentioned above were completed in 45 days by the organization in collaboration with the local government, Cordaid and START Network.
