 Description Of Program/ Project

  1. In Kailari Rural Municipality, Alital Rural Municipality, Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan municipality and Parashuram municipality, the data of the risk settlements that could be caused by floods and landslides was collected.
  2. In above-mentioned 4 municipalities, we visited the areas affected by floods and landslide then collected the data of the affected families in coordination with the local government.
  3. 2052 flood and landslide affected people of Kailari Rural Municipality, Alital Rural Municipality, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan Municipality and Parashuram Municipality were supported with food items, health and sanitation materials.
  4. Disabled people, pregnant women and families staying in shelters were given additional support including food items and health and hygiene items.
  5. Alital Rural Municipality ward no. 7, 24 highly affected families staying in shelters were supported them on poultry farming business for income generation.
  6. In relation to the security measures related to the advance information system, awareness programs were also conducted on how to protect the family from various types of natural hazards.
  7. For 40 families living in the shelter, roads were built to connect the shelter to the community and school as part of the cash-based work.
  8. Necessary counseling, awareness programs and advocacy programs were being held continuously in the landslide affected areas, while coordination and monitoring activities with the local government were also being carried out continuously.
  9. We Supported District administration office Dadeldhura and local government technical in preparing the pre-disaster preparedness action plan.
